I have an appointment with one of my new trial clients. I take initial instructions from the client and also take details of any witnesses and evidence that needs to be gathered for them. |

We receive a call that one of our own clients has been arrested for theft at Kilburn police station. I travel to Kilburn and obtain full disclosure from the police officers. |

I have a consultation with my client and obtain his full instructions. I advise the client to give a fully commented interview so that they can put forward their defence. |

I represent the client throughout their interview at the police station. |

Upon returning to the office I ensure that all Court and police stations are covered for the next day. |

I work on my case load dealing with any outstanding matters. |

I go home from the office. I take with me the office emergency phone as I am on the rota to deal with any own client arrests during the night. |

I receive a call that we have an own client who has been arrested and is requesting us to represent them at Colindale police station. I contact Colindale police station and take the initial details from the Custody Sergeant. I then advise our client over the phone of what is happening and that we shall send a representative to them as soon as possible. |

I speak to my back-up colleague who then attends the police station to represent the client.
