Murder charge dismissed before trial in 2017

Our client K C was acquitted of Murder. Victim had been repeatedly stabbed in his own flat 19 times with what was believed to be a meat cleaver or machete.

KC maintained his innocence from the outset and became frustrated with the lack of proactive approach by his previous legal team. Senior solicitor Pretesh Chauhan successfully transferred the case to JD Spicer Zeb solicitors from another solicitors firm. Together with senior counsel Anand Beharrylal, instructions were taken, the case was comprehensively analysed and legal arguments were presented to the Court before the matter even reaching trial. The result was that the case was dismissed effecting KC’s immediate acquittal and release from custody.
