Simon joined JD Spicer Zeb in 1998. He is a Child Care specialist focusing on child care and related proceedings acting for parents, children and/or children’s guardians, family members and intervenors.
He undertakes advocacy in the family courts on a regular basis before Magistrates, District Judges and Circuit or High Court Judges. He is familiar with working with clients of all backgrounds and with varying needs including those with issues relating to addiction, mental health or cognitive difficulties and, with the assistance of interpreters, in a variety of languages.
He is highly experienced in this area of law with a recent background in criminal law which he is able to bring to his advice where necessary.

Areas of Experience:
Simon has undertaken cases with a wide variety of issues including complex matters involving allegations of non accidental injury, concerns about FGM, factitious illness (Munchausen’s Syndrome by proxy) and matters involving extreme religious beliefs or allegations of terrorism.
- Simon is a member of the Law Society’s Children Act Panel.
- He holds higher rights of audience to allow him to practice in the Higher Courts.
In his spare time, Simon enjoys films, reading, and politics.
