Kirit qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and brings over 36 years' post-qualification experience to his role as a Partner at the firm. Kirit advises and representing clients in privately funded/ legal aid criminal defence matters, acting for individuals facing serious and allegations across the full spectrum of criminal practice.
Kirit is a Partner in the firm's Crime team and is recognised for his handling of sensitive cases at criminal proceedings. His approach combines calm authority, absolute discretion, and ability to provide clear, realistic advice.
His focus is always on protecting clients' rights, guiding them through what is often one of the most difficult periods of their lives, and achieving the best possible outcome.
In addition to his criminal practice, Kirit plays a central leadership in the firm’s governance and regulatory compliance. As the firm's Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and Anti-Money Laundering (COLP/AML), he overseas compliance across all offices.
Kirit speaks fluent Gujarati and has a limited understanding of Hindi, enabling him to support clients from a wider range of backgrounds.
Outside of his professional life, Kirit enjoy travelling, is an enthusiastic golfer. He is also committed to charitable work, supporting organisations including Great Ormond Street Hospital and the British Heart Foundation. An active member of the Lions Club and other charities, and he places great value on giving back to the community and values the time he spends with his family.
