Not Guilty Assault - Willesden Magistrates Court 2023

Umar Zeb was appointed by the court at short notice to conduct cross-examination of the complainant during a trial for common assault by beating. We advanced the defendant's instructions on cross-examination. The defendant asserted that the complainant assaulted him with a frying pan and after he was assaulted he used reasonable and minimal self defence to protect himself from further attack. The defendant gave evidence and was found not guilty of the charge.
