Robbery dismissed Harrow Crown Court - 2022

We acted for a youth charged with Robbery x 9, who appeared in both the youth court for 6 cases and 3 cases in the Crown Court. The case was prepared by us, and we appointed a specialist barrister at the outset. The issues centred around Identification and Joint enterprise Law. We made strong arguments and applications to dismiss charges in the crown court successfully. Our client pleaded guilty to 4 offences of robberies and 2 cases were dropped as we demonstrated there was no evidence. After successful mitigation he was sentenced to a 24-month Youth Referral Order for robbery x4. We demonstrated that our client had changed his lifestyle and had moved away from offending. Had he been convicted of all offences he would have undoubtedly received a long term of detention in a young offender institution.
