Historic Sex offences Case dismissed - St Albans Crown Court 2022

Our client was charged with multiple historic sex offences against sibling victims that allegedly occurred over 50 years ago. Our client strongly denied the allegations. She was from a large family and there was a history of disputes and vendettas over the last 50 years. We scrutinised the prosecution case and carried out detailed and meticulous preparation steps to discredit the prosecution’s case. We contacted witnesses, took statements, and analysed unused disclosure from a period going back 50 years.  We prepared materials to assist counsel and detailed jury bundles containing evidence to undermine the prosecution case. Our expert cross examination of the case was so detailed that the judge of his own motion stopped the prosecution and decided that there was no case to answer against our client.
