Not Guilty S18 GBH Intent Harrow Crown Court 2023
Our client was charged with racially aggravated, section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) with intent following a road rage incident. After a brief verbal exchange, it was alleged our client produced a screwdriver and threatened the complainant. There was a further pursuit where it was alleged that our client used racist language and assaulted the complainant using a motor-bike helmet, causing injury that amounted to s.18 GBH.
We were able to show, through video evidence, that the complainant had armed himself with a brick and threatened our client, who defended himself. The complainant then sought to assault our client Accordingly, the jury acquitted our client on all charges.
