S.18 GBH Dropped After Driving At Man Luton Crown Court 2024

Our client instructed us on a private basis to defend him against allegation of attempted s.18 Grievous Bodily Harm. The  incident involved him mounting the pavement and driving at the victim, causing him to catapult into the air. The prosecution’s case was that it was an intentional and deliberate act, intended to cause very serious harm. The incident was captured on clear CCTV.  Our team were successfully able to negotiate a plea deal with the prosecution which secured our client a non-immediate prison sentence. If Convicted after trial the starting point was 6 years custody, and be required to serve 2/3’s in custody. Due to our robust advice our client avoided a lengthy custodial sentence. Our client was sentenced to a suspended sentence order for the offences of Actual Bodily Harm and Dangerous Driving.
