Sexual assault dropped - written representations 2022
Sexual assault - No further action at the police station following written representations. Our private client team were instructed by a man accused of sexually assaulting his wife. Having being released on police bail he instructed our team who worked alongside Louise Sweet Qc, a leading Barrister in sexual offences. Following detailed written representations we were able to demonstrate that the allegations were fabricated and without substance. The police decided to take no further action. The government is pushing for higher charging in sexual offences cases. Having a first class team at the outset can identify cases where the CPS may decide not to take further action.
