Not Guilty - Three Common Assaults Against Traffic Warden Willesden Magistrates' Court 2024

Our client was found not guilty following three charges of common assault against a traffic warden. If convicted, the court were likely to impose a custodial sentence due to the official role of the victim.

Our client maintained that he was in fact the victim of an assault by the Complainant. We successfully defended him, putting forward his evidence and version of events. In corroboration of this, the Complainant did not turn up to court to provide evidence. In addition, we successfully objected to the Prosecution’s request for an adjournment. This ultimately led the CPS to submit that they had no further evidence, leading to a not guilty verdict on all charges.
