Stalking prevention order dismissed - Uxbridge Court 2022
Our client faced a stalking prevention order application from the police (SPO). This was following a dispute with the complainant. A SPO is a civil order which carries a criminal conviction for any breach. The Police can apply to the court for a Full or Interim SPO.
We were instructed the day before the initial hearing. We attended the first hearing when an interim order was made and we then took full instructions preparing the case fully including site visits, photographs and sketch map of the scene of the alleged stalking.
At the full hearing after considering both the applicants and our clients evidence, the court decided not to grant the SPO.
Our client was extremely satisfied with the outcome and a costs order was made in his favour.
