No Further Action (NFA): Harassment, Actual Bodily Harm, Threats to Kill and Sexual Touching - Bethnal Green Police Station (July 2025)
Our client was arrested following serious allegations involving assault, threats, harassment, and non-consensual sexual touching against her ex-partner. It was claimed that during a heated altercation, she assaulted and threatened to kill him, had made multiple unwanted visits to his home, sent persistent emails, and engaged in sexual touching without consent.
From the outset, our client strongly denied the allegations. She explained that she was the one under threat during the incident and acted purely in self-defence by pushing the complainant away. She also maintained that all physical contact had been entirely consensual and that the complainant never indicated that he wished to cease communication.
Our Specialist Police Station Representative attended Bethnal Green Police Station and provided immediate, strategic advice. Based on a thorough assessment of the available evidence, we advised our client to engage fully in the interview and clearly present her version of events. This approach ensured that her defence was put forward at the earliest opportunity a key factor in influencing the outcome and avoiding any negative inference had the case gone to court.
As a direct result of the legal advice given and the strength of the client’s account, the police made the decision to take no further action. The matter was closed without charge, and our client avoided a court appearance altogether.
