Assault Police Emergency Worker Not Guilty Uxbridge Court 2021
Our client was charged with assaulting an emergency worker namely a firearms officer at Heathrow airport. He was 26 years old with no previous convictions. He pleaded not guilty. The officer sustained an injury to his left knee requiring hospital treatment. As a result of the injury, the officer was on sick leave for 2 weeks.
We prepared the case thoroughly and Sanjay Cholera Partner conducted the trial. Our client was found not guilty after trial. The court found after our expert cross examination that any contact with the officer was not intentional but accidental. Had our client been convicted he would have faced a custodial sentence and his life would have been ruined.
