Firearm Intent to Endanger Life - Snaresbrook Crown Court - 2022

Our client was forensically linked to a loaded firearm found with ammunition, balaclavas, machetes, burner phones and petrol cannisters in a stolen vehicle. This was linked to a large scale disorder at a traveller funeral. If our client was convicted after trial the Sentencing Guidelines suggested a starting point of 14 years custody with 2/3rds being served. We were successfully able to negotiate a plea deal to a much lower charge. We gathered an extensive bundle of mitigation for our client, who was sentenced to 4 ½ years, to serve half.
